Many people also find significant bruising to their scrotum. About 6 days later, mine was very slight and would not photograph well.
The surgeon recommended no physical exercise for up to 6 weeks after the operation, especially sports such as squash, golf, cycling and jogging. The only dressing was a small pad of gauze held in place by tight pants.
Since there were no stitches, it doesn't take much to re-open the incision... as my wife discovered while checking too see whether it had healed. It hadn't. And she didn't check any more.
As for sex, it's pretty much when you feel like it next. I felt very tender for several days. But three days after the op, we managed to test (apprehensively) that everything was functioning satisfactorily. Hooray!
And now 3 months on, libido is unchanged, and there is no change in the semen and looks and feels exactly the same as before.
