On to the incision...
(Squeamish rating 7/10)

I don't like injections, they remind me of having the wrong-end of a red-hot needle stuck into my skin.

But a lot of this has to do with the patience and skill of the injector.

As any bloke who has accidentally zipped up their scrotum into their zip knows, the skin of the scrotum can be rather sensitive.

My surgeon then, seemed a little more skilled than most, as I didn't feel the stabbing pain I expected. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would say 3/10 on the discomfort scale.

If you look carefully at at the injection point in the enlarged photo, you'll notice that the skin of the scrotum has turned white; presumably this is where the anaesthetic has pushed all the blood out of the area, or may be the surgeon squeezing the skin tightly.

It takes about 5 minutes for the anaesthetic to work while the surgeon considers the next step.
